Da Capo - Music for senior citizens

Music café at Kraftwerk e. V. on 2 April, 3 p.m. with Kerstin Randall and Emi Suzuki

On Thursday, 2 April at 3 pm, interested parties are once again invited to a music café "DA CAPO - Music for Senior Citizens" in the large hall of Kraftwerk e. V., Kaßbergstraße 36.

Admission costs 7 euros including coffee and cake. (Registration is not required.) Barrier-free access is available at the signposted side entrance.

In the April edition of the Musikcafé, Nancy Gibson, Director of the Municipal Music School, welcomes Kerstin Randall and Emi Suzuki.

Kerstin Randall has already performed various opera and operetta roles in opera houses around the world. In addition to Chemnitz and Leipzig, she has also been invited to perform in Berlin and Tokyo. At the Chemnitz Opera House she sang Mrs Meeker in "Funny Girl" and Vicky Nichols in the musical "Ganz oder gar nicht". Kerstin Randall is characterised by extraordinary versatility and variability in her voice and acting. She has been teaching students classical singing at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School since 2009. She will chat with Nancy Gibson about her life and will provide a musical framework for the afternoon with some of her music students.

Emi Suzuki has been teaching piano at Chemnitz Municipal Music School since 2016. Her professional career has taken her from Japan to the Czech Republic and Germany. She is a sought-after solo concert pianist and an excellent accompanist. She will enrich this afternoon's musical programme with her piano playing.
