On Thursday 2 July, from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm, the City of Chemnitz invites you to the first event in a series of information and dialogue sessions on the Rabenstein Innovation Campus. The event will take place in the assembly hall of Rabenstein Primary School, Trützschlerstraße 10, and is primarily aimed at residents of the Rabenstein district, particularly those living in the vicinity of the planned Innovation Campus.
Media representatives are also welcome.
Registration is required to attend via www.chemnitz.de/dialog-rabenstein. Places are limited due to the size of the venue.
Mayor Thomas Kütter, Börries Butenop, Head of the City Planning and Property Office, Carina Kühnel, Head of the Environment Office, and representatives from the Economic Affairs Department will provide information on the plans and take questions and suggestions.
With the ‘Rabenstein Innovation Campus’, the City of Chemnitz is pursuing a clear economic policy objective: the sustainable strengthening of the city as a business location through the development of strategically important sites. The plan is to create a high-quality, sustainably designed site that offers attractive conditions for businesses, promotes regional value creation and can generate jobs through the targeted establishment of technology companies.
On 30 April 2025, Chemnitz City Council approved the amendment to the resolution to draw up Development Plan No. 15/15 ‘Innovationscampus Rabenstein’ and commissioned the City of Chemnitz to redesign the area. The City of Chemnitz is working intensively with a commissioned planning consultancy on the reorientation of the site and is committed to an open dialogue with the public as planning progresses.
