On Sunday 21 June at 2.30 pm, the new floodlight system at the SG Adelsberg e.V. sports ground, Cervantesstraße 5, will be officially commissioned in the presence of Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky.
Media representatives are invited to attend.
The old floodlight system at the Cervantesstraße sports ground had to be replaced as the wooden foundations were no longer stable. Four new lighting masts with dimmable LED floodlights have been installed. The previous overhead power line has been laid underground. The total cost of the project amounts to around 83,500 euros, of which the City of Chemnitz has covered around 74,500 euros. The club’s contribution amounts to ten per cent.
To mark the new floodlight system and to coincide with the club’s 80th anniversary, the first men’s team will play a friendly match against Chemnitzer FC on Sunday from 3 pm.
