On Thursday 16 July at 10.00 am, the two goalball players Oliver Hörauf and Rouven Schetelich will sign the City of Chemnitz’s Golden Book of Sport in the presence of Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky.
Media representatives are invited to attend. The ceremony will take place in the Green Salon at the Town Hall, Markt 1.
The two athletes won the silver medal with the German national team at the 2026 Goalball World Championships in China and have qualified early for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. In recognition of these sporting achievements, Oliver Hörauf and Rouven Schetelich will be honoured with an entry in the City of Chemnitz’s Golden Book of Sport.
Representatives from the Olympic Training Centre and the Chemnitz City Sports Association will also be in attendance.
