Counselling services for professionals

Involvement of an experienced specialist (ieFK)

In the event of suspected child endangerment

In Germany, the term " insoweit erfahrene Fachkraft " is the legally defined term for the person providing counselling to assess the risk of endangerment in the event of a suspected threat to a child's welfare (Section 8a and Section 8b SGB VIII).

"Persons who are professionally in contact with children or adolescents are entitled to counselling by an experienced professional when assessing a risk to the child's welfare in individual cases vis-à-vis the local youth welfare organisation."
    (Section 8b para. 1 SGB VIII2)

    • schools
    • Independent youth welfare organisations
    • Professional secrecy organisations
    • Clubs and associations etc.
