Economic youth welfare
The Economic Youth Welfare (WJH) of the Youth Welfare Office is responsible for the assumption of costs, collection in the form of cost contributions and processing of cost reimbursements within the framework of SGB VIII for outpatient, day-care and inpatient forms within the youth welfare services.

Advance on maintenance
Advance maintenance payments are a social benefit provided by the state to secure the maintenance entitlement of children.
Children are entitled to advance maintenance payments
- of single mothers or fathers,
- if the other parent does not pay any maintenance or pays less than the minimum maintenance and
- if the child lives in Chemnitz.
Grants to youth welfare organisations for children's and youth recreational activities
