General Social Services (ASD)
Information - Advice - Help - Protection
The General Social Service (ASD) at the Youth Welfare Office is a contact and advice centre for young people, mothers, fathers and other family members seeking advice and support. However, professionals and organisations dealing with children and young people can also contact the Youth Welfare Office with questions and concerns.
The ASD covers a wide range of services. Its central tasks include the provision and planning of educational assistance and child protection.
Counselling at the ASD includes in particular
- their family situation or the personal situation of the young person, needs, available resources and possible assistance,
- Child and youth welfare services, including access to the benefits system,
- the services of other service providers,
- possible effects and consequences of help,
- the administrative procedures,
- Information on service providers and other help options in the social area and on options for providing services,
- Information on other counselling services in the social area.
If necessary, counselling also includes help with making applications, clarifying other responsible service providers, claiming benefits and fulfilling obligations to cooperate. Counselling is provided in an understandable, comprehensible and perceptible form, and a person you trust can also be consulted at your request.

Children, adolescents and young adults may be entitled to integration assistance due to a diagnosed mental disability.
In each individual case, the possibility of participating in social life is assessed and suitable support is chosen together.
