Reception pavilion in the Küchwald area
Public squares, Mitte-West citizens' platform
A central contact and information point for the European Capital of Culture has been created on the open space at Küchwald. It was planned in close cooperation with the Küchwald interest group, which includes the Küchwald stage, the park railway, the school country home, the botanical garden, the adventure education centre and the Glückskäfer day care centre.
The multifunctional reception pavilion offers numerous facilities for guests: a public, barrier-free toilet with changing table, weather-protected seating, lockers with integrated charging facilities for e-bike batteries, a drinking fountain and bicycle parking spaces. The digital information board of the Chemnitz Mitte-West citizens' platform shows the wide range of offers in Küchwald.
