Experience music together!

The work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) is at the centre of the Saxon Mozart Society's activities. This is associated above all with the promotion of young musicians through scholarships and sponsorship awards.

The Sächsische Mozart-Gesellschaft e.V. stands for the special concert experience and the promotion of young talent in the region. They educate, promote, organise, preserve and develop through their concerts and projects.

The annual Mozart Festival organised by the Mozart Society is the largest classical music event in Saxony and has been one of the annual cultural highlights in Chemnitz since 1995.

By the way...

The Sächsische Mozart-Gesellschaft e. V. was founded as a non-profit association on 22 October 1991 to mark the 200th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart's death. Since then, its headquarters and main field of activity have been in Chemnitz. The society has around 230 members.
