Transport development plan 2040
Changing framework conditions, new innovations, different transport behaviour and a new mobility awareness among the population mean that it is time to reposition municipal transport policy and planning for future challenges. To this end, the city of Chemnitz is updating its transport development plan. The draft for the VEP 2040 has been developed since 2019, initially in a co-creative process. The resulting five guiding principles for future transport development are now to be discussed with the public.
