Portal brings companies and students together

The careers guidance portal, or BO portal for short, makes it easier for pupils to find offers ranging from internships to special learning achievements (BELL). It also makes it easier to find suitable pairings for schools and companies in order to better compensate for open teaching time slots and cancelled lessons through cooperation. The SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT working group includes numerous companies, schools, the District Parents' Council and the State Office for Schools and Education, as well as the City of Chemnitz's Department of Economics and the Chemnitz Education Authority.

The career guidance platform will not only promote networking between schools and companies, but will also offer numerous benefits for the regional economy, the educational landscape and career guidance for young people.

Coordination centre for vocational orientation in the city of Chemnitz

Since 2015, the coordination centre at the education authority has bundled the expertise of a dense network consisting of educational providers, companies and institutions.

The aim of the career and study orientation initiative is to connect schools, business and science in order to support pupils in their orientation towards vocational training or studies and to give them a perspective for their life planning in the city of Chemnitz.

Skilled Labour Alliance working group

The Skilled Labour Alliance has developed an action plan for the city of Chemnitz, which forms the basis for the implementation of skilled labour projects and integrates the vocational orientation initiative as a fixed component.
