Honour award of the city of Chemnitz
AG Peace Day
On 31 August 2020, the honorary prize of the City of Chemnitz was awarded to the Chemnitz Peace Day working group by Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig at City Hall. The working group, which currently has ten members, prepares the Chemnitz Peace Day on 5 March every year, among other things.

On 17 September 2012, long-time Chemnitz tower keeper Stefan Weber celebrated his 70th birthday. To mark the occasion, Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig presented him with the Honorary Award of the City of Chemnitz for his many years of service in Chemnitz on 28 September 2012 in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall. >>more

Lars Riedel
The honorary prize of the city of Chemnitz was presented to Lars Riedel by Lord Mayor Dr Peter Seifert on 12 December 2001. The exceptional athlete, born on 28 June 1967 in Zwickau, trained from 1984 at the Karl Marx Stadt Sports Club, from 1991 to 1993 he competed for the USC Mainz and then again for the Chemnitz Athletics Club. >>more
