Education
Compulsory schooling begins for all children who turn six by 30 June of the year in which they start school. Children who turn six between 1 July and 30 September of the current calendar year can also be voluntarily enrolled in primary school by their parents. The enrolment of your child at a primary school always takes place one year before school enrolment.

Integration and language courses
Good German language skills are important - both in the workplace and in everyday life. You need it to be able to communicate and integrate well in a team. But also to get to know new people in Chemnitz and find your way around better. In many professions, specialised language skills are also necessary.
