Education and participation package in Chemnitz
Children, adolescents and young adults need fair educational and participation opportunities for their development.
They have a right to participate - in sports clubs, at school lunches, in after-school care or daycare centres, in learning, on school trips and much more.
Families on low incomes and refugee families in particular need special support so that their children can take part everywhere.
The education and participation package supports these families.
Benefits of the education and participation package:
- Excursions with school/daycare centre
- Membership fees for cultural and sporting activities
- Subsidies for lunch at schools and kindergartens
- Personal school supplies
- Class and day-care centre trips lasting several days

- school transport.

Pupils who are entitled to the statutory benefits of the education and participation package can also apply for social benefits for participation in the holiday lunch at the after-school care centre.Applications can be made at the Social Benefits Customer Portal, Bahnhofstraße 53 (Moritzhof), ground floor.
