Residents' meeting on 10 April 2025
for the south-east urban area at Einsiedel grammar school

On 10 April, all citizens of the districts of Adelsberg, Erfenschlag, Harthau, Reichenhain and the villages of Einsiedel, Euba, Klaffenbach and Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain were invited to a residents' meeting at the Einsiedel grammar school from 5 pm.
Mayor Sven Schulze, the mayoress and the mayors provided information in the first part about current developments and key projects, including
- Events for the Capital of Culture
- News about the Altenhain sports ground
- Status of the Chemnitz city budget
- School network planning and digital pact schools
- Nature conservation and natural areas in the south-east area
- Presentation of the new mobile library
- "Favourite places" project and Erfenschlag play area
- Expansion of Augustusburger Straße
- Green spaces in the south-east assembly area
- Capital of Culture intervention areas in the south-east area
Afterwards, from around 6 p.m., participants were able to address their concerns to the administration and city stakeholders and enter into dialogue. In addition to representatives of the City of Chemnitz and the localities, contact persons from the waste disposal and city cleaning company, Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH, the Bürgerplattform Süd-Ost, Chemnitzer Verkehrsbetriebe AG and some members of the city council were also available.
In addition, the Einsiedel grammar school's support association offered roasters and non-alcoholic drinks for a small fee.
The next residents' meeting is expected to take place on 30 October 2025, from 5 p.m., in the town hall.
