Health promotion
Maintaining health and avoiding illness is a central goal of prevention and health promotion. The health promotion team in the Office for Health and Prevention of the City of Chemnitz is committed to promoting the health and well-being of people in Chemnitz by
- Networking regional experts and decision-makers to initiate necessary changes
- Organising needs-oriented and cross-agency health promotion services
- Imparting knowledge and contacts
- Picking up and implementing good ideas for health promotion in Chemnitz
Coordination of community health promotion

The services offered by the Office for Health and Prevention of the City of Chemnitz:
- Coordination of needs-orientated regional health promotion in cooperation with regional partners and health insurance companies (regional working group)
- Networking of activities for measures and projects in the region
- Preparation / implementation / evaluation of target group-specific / setting-related health promotion measures
- Supporting regional partners in the planning / implementation / of health promotion measures and projects
Healthy Chemnitz" working group
The "Healthy Chemnitz" working group is an association of city administration offices, health insurance companies, the city sports association and Chemnitz University of Technology, among others.
