Municipal education management and education monitoring
In December 2019, the City Council approved the concept for the development of continuous education monitoring and management for the targeted control of educational processes and long-term improvement of educational activities.
The aim is to better coordinate educational programmes and make them more transparent for everyone. In addition to active networking with education stakeholders, this includes recognising management potential, bundling education responsibilities and analysing the local education situation on the basis of data and facts.
The project will initially focus on the following areas:
- Under the motto: "Every child in Chemnitz should obtain a school-leaving qualification - shaping positive developments locally", the education monitoring data will be processed step by step
- Systematic development of education monitoring along the lifelong education chain
- Establishing networking structures and cooperation with education-related stakeholders in such a way that a good educational landscape is created in Chemnitz
The City of Chemnitz receives funding for the project via the federal programme "Bildung integriert". The processes are coordinated by one employee each from Education Monitoring and Education Management.
