Mayor's office hours
Dates for the citizens' consultation hours 2025

In 2025, the citizens of Chemnitz will once again be able to talk to the Lord Mayor, the Mayoress and the Mayors during Citizens' Consultation Hours.
Due to the numerous scheduling commitments of the mayors in the Capital of Culture year, the citizens' consultation hours will take place every two months in 2025.
Mayor Sven Schulze, Mayoress Dagmar Ruscheinsky and Mayor Knut Kunze will hold their town hall meetings in January, March, May, July, September and November. Mayor Michael Stötzer's office hours are scheduled for February, April, June, August, October and December.
Due to the expected number of appointments and the preparations required for the public consultation hours, the registration deadlines will be brought forward. As usual, the exact dates will be announced in good time.

Compass, who is the right person to talk to?
- Lord Mayor Sven Schulze for cross-departmental ideas for the development of the city. As the "boss" of the City of Chemnitz team, he is open to the problems, improvements and wishes of the people of Chemnitz. This naturally also applies to the children and young people of Chemnitz, who would like to address their ideas and wishes for child- and youth-friendly urban development to our Lord Mayor.
Date: Wednesday, 21 May, from 4 to 6 p.m. - Mayor Knut Kunze for questions and concerns about law, safety and environmental protection. He is in charge of the legal department, the public order office, the citizens' office, the environmental office, the fire brigade, the food inspection and veterinary office and the zoo and can help here.
Date: Thursday, 22 May, from 3.30 to 5.30 p.m. - Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky is open to ideas, suggestions or problems relating to social affairs, youth, health, culture and sport. The cultural organisation, the Chemnitz art collections, the social welfare office, the youth welfare office, the sports office and the office for health and prevention work under her leadership.
Date: Monday, 19 May, from 4 to 6 p.m. - Mayor Michael Stötzer is the contact person for urban development and construction issues. He is responsible for building management and structural engineering, the urban planning office, the building regulations and surveying office, the transport and civil engineering office and the green spaces office. He can provide information on these topics and is grateful for constructive suggestions.
Date: Wednesday, 4 June, from 3 to 5 pm
We ask for your understanding that only a limited number of appointments are available for the citizens' consultation hours. It is therefore possible that not all registered citizens will be able to attend.
Changes are reserved and will be announced in good time.
