Children's and family centres
Chemnitz family centres (KiFaZ) offer an extensive free weekly programme with open meetings, parent-child courses, talks, family camps and advice services.
Mums and dads can meet here and discuss their everyday family life and the development and upbringing of their children with other parents and competent contacts in a pleasant atmosphere.
The work and services of the children and family centres are intended to support parents, especially those from the respective social area. They are orientated towards the different individual needs of the parents, which are easily accessible in terms of time and space.
KiFaZ "Bunte Gärten" A place for families

The educational work at the KiFaZ "Bunte Gärten" is based on the Early Excellence approach. On the one hand, Early Excellence stands for the development of daycare centres into child and family centres and, on the other hand, provides practical answers to questions regarding early childhood education.
The concept of open doors with regular groups creates optimal conditions for children to be able to pursue their interests and needs.
Targeted observation and documentation make it possible to recognise the children's strengths, support them individually and activate and stimulate educational processes.
In this centre, children can be looked after from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm.

KiFaZ "Centipede"
Robert-Siewert-Straße 68/70 - Markersdorf district
A meeting and educational centre for children and their families. The children can play and learn together in fixed core groups.
Children can be looked after from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The family centre with its own rooms for family education offers families parent-child courses, parent counselling and specialist lectures on various topics. Parents can exchange ideas on all topics relating to everyday family life in a relaxed atmosphere.
The whole family can participate in the organisation of the KiFaZ.

The Child and Family Centre offers childcare in House I for younger children and in House II for older children from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. The daily routine at the children's and family centre is based on the children's needs. They help plan and organise their day.
Our centre offers family education and counselling services for families whose children do not yet attend a day care centre. We attach great importance to networking family education programmes in the centre and in the Hilbersdorf/Ebersdorf social area.
