Healthy Cities Network
The City of Chemnitz has been a member of the Healthy Cities Network of the Federal Republic of Germany since 1992. The network as a whole sees itself as a municipal mouthpiece at the national level for the competent organisation of health promotion in everyday life. It is part of the "Healthy Cities" movement of the WHO. The network in Germany is a voluntary association of participating municipalities. It primarily serves as a tool for action and learning, which is intended to support local work in line with the Healthy Cities concept.
