City of Chemnitz honour award for Aljona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy
The figure skating pair received the honorary award from the city of Chemnitz on 24 April 2014.
With two bronze medals at the Olympic Games, 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal at the World Championships and 4 gold and 3 silver medals at the European Championships, the pair have an impressive track record. This great sporting achievement was also recognised by Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig.

They have impressively represented their sport, their country and their city. In a unique way, they have combined top sporting performance and artistic standards, touching and inspiring millions of people worldwide.
