Changing framework conditions, new innovations, different transport behaviour and a new mobility awareness among the population mean that it is time to reposition municipal transport policy and planning for future challenges.

To this end, the City of Chemnitz is updating its transport development plan. The draft for the 2040 VEP has been developed since 2019, initially in a co-creative process.

The resulting five guiding principles for future transport development were then discussed with the public.

We appreciate your interest in helping to shape Chemnitz and improve future mobility in our city.
