City council adopts fee schedule for the long-distance bus terminal

At its meeting today, the Chemnitz City Council set the charges for transport companies to use the new long-distance bus terminal on Dresdner Straße.

The basic rate is 16.20 euros (net) per journey and includes a 15-minute layover. For large customer users, the tariff is between 13.77 euros and 15.39 euros, depending on the number of monthly departures. The amount of refunds if the reservation is cancelled is also regulated in the fee schedule.

The fee schedule will come into force on 14 April 2025.

The long-distance bus terminal has been in operation since December 2024. The company Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH (GPS) has been commissioned with both the technical equipment and the operation of the long-distance bus terminal until 2033. The operator collects the fixed fees from the transport companies that travel to the terminal, stop at its bus platforms and change passengers there. The fees are passed on in full to the City of Chemnitz.

Revenue of around 207,000 euros is expected for 2025 - based on the assumption of 18,000 uses in the basic fare, of which just under 13,000 will be subject to charges from the day the fee schedule comes into force.
Revenue of around 292,000 euros is expected for 2026.
