The BFV Ascota Chemnitz e.V. - abbreviation BFV stands for Behinderten- und Freizeitsportverein - is, as its name suggests, an association in which disabled and non-disabled people play sport together. BFV Ascota Chemnitz is a non-profit sports club that has established itself in the fields of rehabilitation and disabled sports, leisure and recreational sports, as well as popular and competitive sports in Chemnitz.

The club currently has around 400 members who are organised into various sports groups. Under the guidance of licensed instructors, most of whom are also licensed trainers, members can take part in the sporting activities listed in the programme.

Sport for people without disabilities, for people with mental disabilities, for people with visual impairments and for people with physical disabilities is provided by the experienced instructors in the above-mentioned areas, as is outpatient rehabilitation sport with a prescription from the health insurance and pension insurance providers.
