About the deep connection to Israel

Rolf and Uta Zeidler from Chemnitz have been travelling to Israel regularly for 15 years. They provide help on the ground and support wherever they can. When Hamas attacked Israel a year ago, the help provided by the two Chemnitz residents was particularly important. They told us in an interview how they can help in concrete terms.

Support without taboos

Lisa Schaarschmidt is a coordinator at the outpatient children's hospice service. Together with her colleagues and many volunteers, she helps families who have a child with a life-limiting illness. She would like this work to be less taboo and for more people to know that some of the children live to a later age or recover completely. She explains what her work involves in the Maker of the Week interview.
