City library with new inclusive offer

Methodology area will be handed over on 14 May, 4 p.m.

On Wednesday, 14 May at 4 p.m., the new inclusion methodology section will be officially handed over to Chemnitz residents with a small ceremony in the TIETZ event hall.

The new inclusion methodology area in the education section of the city library offers specialist literature and helpful working and learning materials for teachers, pupils and educational institutions to promote equal participation in a targeted manner.

It was developed and compiled by the moderators of the Chemnitz cooperation networks (State Office for Schools and Education), representatives of the City Library and the Inclusion Officer of the City of Chemnitz, Petra Liebetrau.

Inclusion aims to ensure equal and self-determined participation of people with disabilities in social life in all areas of life.

"This participation is conceived comprehensively, in the sense of taking part, giving part and also being part, and is aimed at all of us, regardless of any disabilities we may have. It already works to a large extent and can - as a win-win situation - be shaped and continuously improved for and by all of us," says Petra Liebetrau.
