Lord Mayor Sven Schulze and Miriam Koch, Councillor for Culture and Integration of the City of Düsseldorf, open the representation of the twin city Düsseldorf in the year of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 in the Stadtwirtschaft. At the same time, the walk-in installation "eight planets, one star, one world (2025)" by Mischa Kuball will be opened. Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky will also take part.

Mayor Sven Schulze opens the twin city conference. This will be held in English. (Admission from 9 am.)
Seven delegations from the twin cities of Düsseldorf, Kirjat Bialik, Ljubljana, Łódź, Manchester, Tampere and Timbuktu will sign the Golden Book of the City of Chemnitz in the presence of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze.

Lord Mayor Sven Schulze invites you to the public commemoration "Europe - remembering and thinking ahead" on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War at the bench for Justin Sonder on the Brühl. State Parliament President Alexander Dierks, US Consul General John Crosby, Anne-Lise Bagrel, First Counsellor of the French Embassy in Germany, and Nerys Jones from the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will give short speeches. The accompanying programme will be provided by the Chemnitz Municipal Theatre Ballet, the Mejo Quartet and members of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra Chemnitz as well as the Chemnitz School Theatre Week.

Lord Mayor Sven Schulze takes part in the closing event of the twin city conference.

On the occasion of Europe Day, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze invites guests from politics, business, EU work and urban society to a reception. Representatives from the embassies of the Netherlands, Poland and Slovenia will be present. The mayor and mayors will also be in attendance.

Mayor Ralph Burghart welcomes the guests to the concert series "Europe Sounds - Music connects Europe in Chemnitz". From Wednesday to Friday, artists from all over Europe will be performing on Neumarkt from 5 pm during Europe Week.
