Getting married in the historic tram
The city of Chemnitz offers you a very special wedding ceremony in one of three tram carriages in cooperation with Chemnitzer Verkehrs AG and the Chemnitz association "Straßenbahnfreunde e. V.".
The wedding venue is the Chemnitz Tram Museum in Kappel. Here you can choose your own wedding tram. There are various historic tramcars to choose from, including the motor coach (169) built in 1919, the motor coach (15 II) from 1925 or the motor coach (401) from 1968.
The vehicle used as a wedding room is located on the grounds of the tram museum, Zwickauer Straße 164, during the civil ceremony.
Marriages only take place on request and by prior arrangement with the Chemnitz registry office.
