Lost property that has not been collected by its owner despite public notice may be auctioned off publicly. The time and place of the auction will be publicised in the Chemnitz official gazette. Auctions are held at irregular intervals.

Online auctions take place via the internet platform "Zoll-Auktion", the official online platform of the federal, state and local governments. It is published by the General Customs Directorate in Bonn.

First, second and third: The Chemnitz lost property office is currently auctioning off various bicycles whose storage period has expired and for which no ownership claims have been asserted.

These include two e-bikes, ten mountain bikes, nine city bikes, five children's bikes, two trekking bikes, a cross bike, a dirt bike and a cross-street bike.

Interested parties can view the found bikes and try their luck at bidding at Zollauktion Stadt Chemnitz. The items on offer can only be viewed via the above Internet address. It will not be possible to view the items in person during the entire auction.

Bidders cannot expect new items. The bicycles are described in detail, flaws are explicitly pointed out and informative photos are included. In many cases, minor or major repairs are necessary.

Please note: Registration with Zoll-Auktion is required to take part in the auction. The internet platform also offers the option of placing items on a watch list so as not to miss out on how high the desired item is being traded and how many other bidders are already interested in it.

The auctions will end on Sunday, 11 May between 5 and 5.30 pm.

As always with lost property auctions, the following applies: items are auctioned as seen (in photos), no guarantee is given and exchanges are not possible.
Bicycles purchased at auction can only be collected by appointment. The municipal lost property office will contact the highest bidder after the end of the auction. The amount must be paid by bank transfer before collection.

If you have any questions about the auctions, you can contact the public authority service number 115.
