Dementia counselling
The DementiaNet_C offers competent, neutral and free counselling on a weekly basis. The aim is to provide support from a single source for those affected and their relatives in order to ensure good care. The focus here is on relieving the burden on carers and nursing staff.
Counselling is provided in small multi-professional teams. This ensures a highly individualised practical approach. Experts from the fields of senior citizens' work, care, care insurance and health services are available on Thursdays from 2.00 to 6.00 pm at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office, Moritzhof Citizens' Administration Centre, Bahnhofstraße 53, 09111 Chemnitz.
To avoid waiting times, counselling is by appointment.

You can call our dementia hotline for expert advice on the subject of dementia, possible support and respite services and questions about making an application. Call 0371 488 5555 and the social workers from the Senior Citizens' Social Service of the Chemnitz Social Welfare Office will be happy to answer your questions.
Dementia consultation
In collaboration with the Geriatrienetzwerk_C "Gemeinsam fürs Alter" ("Together for old age"), the Dementia Network_C offers a dementia consultation hour away from a hospital or doctor's surgery.
Outside of the medical context, relatives and those affected are given the opportunity to discuss suspected dementia further with the help of psychological tests and receive advice on treatment and support options.
Specialist staff from the Geriatric Centre at Chemnitz Hospital and the care coordinators from the city of Chemnitz are available to talk to you.
