School transport
School transport includes all necessary journeys made by pupils between their home and the school in direct connection with their attendance at timetabled lessons. School transport includes the outward and return journey.
Only school-age pupils who have their main place of residence in the Free State of Saxony and attend a school in the City of Chemnitz are entitled to a pro rata reimbursement of travel costs by the City of Chemnitz. The conditions for reimbursement and the deadlines and procedures for submitting applications are regulated in the school transport cost statutes of the City of Chemnitz.
