Caution suits us all. For this reason, markings for mutual consideration have been placed on the road surface at 16 points along the NUMICO model route.

The white motifs on the 1.20 m by 0.80 m traffic blue markings are recognisable when entering the area and are intended to sensitise road users to be more considerate and drive at an appropriate speed.

The reasons:

Whether on foot, by bike or on an e-scooter - there are often many different people travelling on cycle paths and footpaths at the same time. They should all be seen as road users and taken seriously so that they can reach their destinations safely. To ensure that nobody is harmed, it makes sense to remind road users to show mutual consideration by means of communicative measures. By increasing acceptance and consideration for each other, road users make a significant contribution to improving road safety. Furthermore, greater consideration often not only makes driving safer, but also faster.

The process:

Like the installation of cycle lane markings, the installation of traffic signs and similar markings is also limited by the administrative regulations of the StVO. In order not to impair general road safety, certain rules must be observed before applying markings. For example, the pavement must be wide enough and the material used must be roadworthy and non-slip. The surface should also be smooth and without cracks. Experience shows that markings on asphalt are more durable than on paving stones.

Costs:

3,835.19 Euro

Realisation period:

1 week coordination within the civil engineering department,
4 weeks Tendering of the contract,
2 days Application of the markings
