Addiction counselling
The addiction counselling and treatment centre of the Office for Health and Prevention of the City of Chemnitz advises people at risk of addiction and those suffering from addiction as well as their relatives - especially in the case of alcohol addiction.
It is also a contact point for self-help groups and carries out preventative tasks.
The services offered by the addiction counselling centre include
- Individual personal and telephone counselling (especially for alcohol problems)
- Outpatient rehabilitation (alcohol and drug addiction) in individual and group therapy (temporary admission stop)
- Support for self-help groups
Self-help groups
There are currently 7 self-help groups using the premises of the Office for Health and Prevention. The programme is open to anyone who is willing to abstain from alcohol.
Relatives group
This is a group for anyone who is confronted with people with an addiction problem in their immediate environment.
If you are interested in joining a group, please contact the staff at the counselling centre of the Office for Health and Prevention.
