Vaccination counselling

Vaccinations are one of the most important and effective preventive measures available in medicine. Modern vaccines are well tolerated and adverse drug reactions are only observed in rare cases.
The immediate aim of vaccination is to protect the vaccinated person from an infectious disease. If high vaccination rates are achieved, it is possible to eliminate individual pathogens regionally and eventually eradicate them worldwide.
Joint vaccination centre of Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH and the City of Chemnitz
On 1 September 2022, the Joint Vaccination Centre of Chemnitz Hospital and the City of Chemnitz will be launched. In future, all recommended vaccinations will be carried out there; appointments can be made online or via the service number 115.
Non-binding medical vaccination consultations
If you would like a non-binding medical vaccination consultation (except travel medicine consultations), this is only possible on certain dates due to the specific requirements.
You can make an appointment via the standardised citizens' telephone number 115 at the vaccination advice centre of the Office for Health and Prevention of the City of Chemnitz on Mondays from 2 pm to 4 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 10 am.
Travel medical advice and vaccinations
Appointments for travel medical consultations and vaccinations (e.g. yellow fever, typhoid, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, malaria prophylaxis, etc.) can only be booked directly through the travel vaccination centre due to medical conditions (e.g. availability of special vaccines).
Appointments should preferably be made by e-mail atinf-ambulanz(at)skc.de or, in urgent cases, by telephone on 0371 333-42644. Please try to make an appointment in good time before travelling.
