Chemnitz inclusive: Fields of action
Health and care field of action
Health and care services for people with and without disabilities in Chemnitz will be further improved and freely accessible to all in 2030.
All stakeholders in the field of health and care are well networked in Chemnitz. Comprehensive and barrier-free information, also in simple and easy language, facilitates access to care and healthcare services. Counselling and support systems are available in such a way that all people with disabilities have barrier-free access to medical, therapeutic and care facilities.
The professional groups involved are sensitised and trained to recognise and respect special needs. Healthcare facilities such as doctors' surgeries, hospitals and pharmacies are generally accessible without barriers. Communication with patients is organised in such a way that self-determined treatment is possible and patients' rights are strengthened. Sufficient sign language interpreters and communication assistants are available on call.
