Chemnitz Energy Network
With resolution no. BA-016/2009 of 3 June 2009, the City Council decided to form a network with the aim of a sustainable energy policy "Chemnitz 2020" as part of the updating of the energy concept and to underpin this with specific projects. This network is to include eins energie in Sachsen GmbH, the chambers, representatives of the housing industry, the Technical University, private initiatives and the local AGENDA 21 organisation.
The energy team forms the core of the Chemnitz energy network and co-operates with other partners on specific topics. It updates the current status analysis, the EAP and the climate protection concept and supports the implementation of specific individual projects. It reports annually to the city council.
The Energy Network is currently overseeing the implementation of the eea® projects from the Energy Policy Work Programme 2017 to 2020 and the Climate Adaptation Programme for the same period.
