Vaccinations: Questions and answers on the Joint Vaccination Centre

The joint vaccination centre of Chemnitz Hospital and the City of Chemnitz has been in operation since September 2022.

All recommended vaccinations are carried out at the Küchwald hospital site, Bürgerstraße 2.

How do I get an appointment for the Joint Vaccination Centre?

Appointments for the Joint Vaccination Centre can be booked either online at www.chemnitz.de/impfen or via the single public authority telephone number 115.

How can I change/postpone an appointment?

This is done online via the appointment portal. Please click on the corresponding link in the appointment confirmation you received by e-mail and select the new appointment.

Can I come to the opening hours without an appointment?

Depending on capacity, people can also be accepted without an appointment, preferably between 3 and 5 p.m. There may be waiting times.


Where exactly is House 11 located?

You can find a map of the vaccination centre on the municipal vaccination website at www.chemnitz.de/impfen. House 11 is also marked on the map of the Küchwaldklinikum site. The vaccination centre in House 11 can also be seen on the building.


Can I get a coronavirus vaccination?

Yes, all vaccinations recommended by the Saxon Vaccination Commission can also be requested at the Joint Vaccination Centre.


Which coronavirus vaccine is used? Can I choose the vaccine?

The vaccinators will advise you on the most suitable vaccine. Not all combinations are effective. Preference is given to mRNA and protein-based vaccines.

Is an inactivated vaccine available for the coronavirus vaccination?

Yes.

Is the Novavax vaccine available for coronavirus vaccination?
Yes.


Is the corona vaccination also possible with a health treatment voucher (recipients of benefits under the AsylbLG)?

Yes.


Will I receive medical advice directly before the vaccination?

Yes.


Is the insurance card required?

Yes.


Is the tetanus vaccination a quadruple vaccination?

Yes.


Is there a transport order number (patient transport)?

No.

Can German nationals living in China be vaccinated when visiting their home country?
The offer is aimed at people living in Chemnitz. They can take advantage of the offer.

How do I get an appointment for an antibody/titre test?

This is determined jointly in the consultation between the patient and the vaccination doctor. A separate consultation appointment must be booked for this in the vaccination portal
