Reception pavilion in the Küchwald area is opened
The new reception pavilion was officially opened on 14 March 2025.
The open space was selected as an intervention area as part of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 to provide the Küchwald with a central contact and information point.
with a central contact and information point. The planning was carried out in collaboration with the Küchwald interest group, which includes the Küchwaldbühne e. V., the park railway, the school country home, the botanical garden, the adventure education centre and the Glückskäfer day care centre.
The multifunctional reception pavilion offers various facilities for use. These include a public, barrier-free toilet, a nappy-changing table, a digital information board, weather-protected seating, lockers with integrated charging facilities for e-bike batteries, a drinking fountain and bicycle parking spaces.
The pavilion is located on the corner of Küchwaldstraße and Küchwaldring, right next to the railway barrier.
